While overflow hidden is great, you need to watch out for your overflow:hidden on your nav containers. Missing sub menus are not fun lol

We can float the container so that it will cover whole area like:

margin: 1em 0;
border: 2px solid red;

Can someone help me with something.

I am creating a website and I have 2 backgrounds.

The first background (the main) has a brown color and second background which I use an image size of 500px by 500px.

Now my problem is, I have a “select list” and I want it to appear in front of the second background.

Example: http://www.turkishairlines.com/

That float-within-a-float is a nifty little technique, and one I did not know. Ivo may have been referring to the technique outlined on this page, which apparently originated with my SitePoint buddy Paul O’Brien:
